I don’t know about you, but I love the fact that cross stitch kits are so convenient. They come with everything you need to create a beautiful piece of art. That said, there are a few items that I highly recommend you pick up to help make your needlecraft sessions that little bit easier!

Firstly, I love this Gold Quality Gift Box. Sure, you get a needle with your cross stitch kit, but I’ve lost track of the number of times that mine have mysteriously gone missing. This handy little box has 16 embroidery needles, which would also come in useful for any other household sewing that needs doing. It also includes a thimble, a needle threader and a pair of scissors; it’s a really handy way of keeping everything in one place!

Ever been working really hard on a cross stitch kit, only to find that you’ve been squinting like mad for the past few hours? I used to have that happen all the time, until I invested in a magnifying lamp. This particular model is great if you stitch wherever you can, as it can clip on to different surfaces and the flexible arm can be positioned how you like. The rimless magnifying glass and the bright LED bulb helps you focus on any fiddly details without obscuring any important details; it’s a must-have if you’re working on black aida!

Now that you have your cross stitch kits and the accessories to go along with them, you’ll need somewhere to keep everything neat and tidy. We’ve recently added a range of adorable craft bags from Sew Easy, but my particular favourite is the Rustic Ranch Satchel. It’s just the perfect size for all of my bits and pieces, and I just love the cute design! Its padded shoulder strap also makes it perfect for when I’m travelling and want to take my needlecraft with me.

I hope that these accessories will help to make your future stitching endeavours that little bit easier! They also make fantastic gifts for any keen stitchers that you know, especially if they’re currently working on one or two cross stitch kits.

If you have a needlecraft accessory that you can’t work without or you’re new to the hobby and have any questions, get in touch with us! You can leave a comment below or chat to us over on Facebook, Twitter or Google+ and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
