The fabric included in the kit is too dark. I changed it to a parchment color, which was much better. The pattern was in color, and it was really hard to read. Also, the symbols and colors to use were very difficult to identify, and i had to use a magnifying glass. It would have been better if the chart was black and white and the symbols were not identified by colors, but by an individual symbol. I am still working on this project and what I have done, looks extremely good. It is slow going because of the time spent trying to identify the colors. The pattern is an extremely good one, but I wish it was not color-coded.

When I received the kit it had bundles of mixed threads but there was no indication as to which number it went with. It just had cards with 1,2,3,4 etc. and was no help at all in sorting out the correct thread for the chart included. It took a long while to sort out with the aid of a DMC chart and even then the colours did not match up with DMC thread as stated on the instructions. There are a lot of colours in this kit but hopefully because I am quite an experienced cross stitcher I will be able to work the colours correctly. It certainly would not a help a less experienced cross stitcher. Not quite the kit I expected but it wasn't that expensive when compared to other kits.
